Overview

Salar de Uyuni, located in southwest Bolivia, is the world’s largest salt flat, spanning over 10,000 square kilometers. During the rainy season, it transforms into a vast mirror, creating surreal reflections of the sky.

Morning: Arrive in Uyuni and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon: Visit the Train Cemetery, where old locomotives rust in the desert, offering a glimpse into Bolivia’s industrial past. Evening: Explore Colchani village to observe traditional salt processing methods and shop for salt-crafted souvenirs. Overnight: Stay in a unique salt hotel, constructed entirely from salt blocks.          

Morning: Depart for a full-day exploration of the salt flats. Visit Incahuasi Island, a rocky outcrop covered in giant cacti, offering panoramic views of the endless white expanse. Afternoon: Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the salt flats. Evening: Witness a breathtaking sunset, where the horizon blurs, creating a seamless blend of sky and earth. Night: Experience stargazing in one of the clearest skies on earth, with minimal light pollution.        

  Morning: Optional visit to nearby attractions or relax before your departure. Afternoon: Transfer to Uyuni Airport for your onward journey.    

Inclusions: 2 nights’ accommodation in a salt hotel. Transportation in a 4WD vehicle with an English-speaking guide. Meals: 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch. Entrance fees to all mentioned sites.
